We've had a good run. Probably longer than I would have expected. I'm like, 5 days behind and I didn't even get a picture yesterday. What this tells me? I've lost interest in you. I struggle every day to get a picture, and most days I hate the ones I post. So why do it? You're a hobby I find more annoying than enjoying, so lets just part ways here. Deal? Thanks blog, I knew you'd understand.

Love,

LauraLaura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-22295580859744297622010-03-11T13:53:00.001-08:002010-03-11T14:04:24.551-08:00Day 38~ I'm that neighbor

Poor neighbor. Whatever happened to him, it required the a firetruck, an ambulance, 3 police cars, and two under covers. Holy moly. I hope he's okay. They took him out on a strecher. I keep telling myself I should get to know my neighbors, should something bad ever happen to me I'd want to know I'm surrounded by people who might notice that I'm no longer around...or that would get me help should they see something happen to me. I wish the neighbor next door annoying fence posts were not in the way, or the view would have been better. Oh well. I picked it because it's hilarious. As I've mentioned more than once, my parents are selling their house. To get the new carpet in we had to prep the floors. We like to paint the subfloor with a special primer to block oders, because lets face it...like 10 pets over 18 years and you're bound to have a few accidents. So we had painted the floor and my dad was leaving to go get lunch. The problem? His money and keys were in the bedroom, at the end of the hallway. That room already has new carpet in it, and so he couldn't get paint on it. So he had to put these bags over his shoes, so he could step out of them and get into the room to get his keys and card. I stuck my camera around the corner and just snapped this picture as he was coming back. Ah, good times.Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-26784083518941248552010-03-11T13:29:00.001-08:002010-03-11T13:38:24.054-08:00Day 36~ The Domestic Failure

Yep. That's me. My poor husband. I made what could be described as the worst meal ever. And he sat there and ate it like a champ. It was supposed to be orange chicken. Apparently the type of orange juice used is important. The stuff I used was on sale, and my dinner turned out like a crayon explosion with this horrible aftertaste that just burned your mouth with sourness. UGH. Anyhoo. There was nothing left to photograph because I cook for two, and we rarely have leftovers as neither of us care for them much. But here is the remains of the horrible sauce in the crockpot. It was also a busy day so this was the only picture I managed to take. Sorry for the poor quality.
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-39734263937434083232010-03-07T13:36:00.000-08:002010-03-07T13:40:50.351-08:00Day 35~ Has Spring Sprung?

I think it has. Mostly because it's closed right now, so I guess technically we're trespassing. But it's not like we're hurting anything. It's state property, not private... though I'm not sure that helps my case very much. Anyhoo. We take our dogs here to run around to get out some energy. It's so quite and peaceful. There isn't anyone around except us and the birds. Even though I'm excited to see Spring come, I'll be kind of bummed to really be kicked out of here. Only people reserved there can hang out once it opens. Bummer. I'm current on my blog. Now I'll wait another 3 days to update like I usually do. Today was busier than what has become normal for me. My husband is sick, and I spent a good few hours at the hospital waiting for doctors today, and I worked in the church daycare tonight as well. But, I did make it to Petsmart because if I didn't my dogs would be eating my furniture because they're hungry. I usually bring them back a little something from Petsmart. Today I brought home what was sold to me as chew sticks that would provide hours of chewing pleasure for my dogs. Yea right. Daisy woofed hers down in less than 4 minutes. Hours my tail. I couldn't even get a non blurry picture of her because of the speed at which she was taking this thing down. Grrr. At least they were not very expensive. Oh, and it's not that I love Tank less than Daisy if you're wondering why most of my pictures are of her. He just does not photograph well at all-takes after me. haha
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-77274988106047895142010-03-03T20:36:00.000-08:002010-03-03T20:45:06.858-08:00Day 30~ I Dream of Laundry Fairies

Did I even spell fairy in it's correct plural form? You may ask what's the story behind this crappy picture for today...? There isn't one. I'm that lazy, that unmotivated, and kind of thinking about giving up this blog. This picture. This is a one and only. And few people have seen this picture. There is no digital copy, I guess until now. Long story short: this pic was taken in California with Danny. We were at the fair and just happened to come across this tent where you could get a picture with their snake (Huge python snake. Sucker was 8 ft long). Anyways, that's not what this post is about. This picture is on my fridge. It's my motivation to stay out of the fridge. That's skinny me. It doesn't always work, but it does to some extent. It sits next to my dove wrappers that have really cool quotes on them. Dark chocolate doves to be exact, I allow myself one piece a day. It's good for you, so they say. That's why excuse anyways. You know, I'd really like to get back to the girl in the picture. I don't know that I will. Something close hopefully. I've had to make some tough decisions as of late, and with the life changes I'll be making, hopefully it'll help me get back to this girl. Cat Tails we called them. I'm not sure if that's their actual name...but that's what we called them. I remember these from being a kid and we'd pick them and tear them apart. These were falling apart on their own by the time I saw them. I guess it's time for the tails to spread their seed to make new cat tails. But, when whole, they are a rich brown color, with a little tail sticking out of the top. Hence the name...cat tail. Anyways. Found them growing by our house.
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-81852453820112715982010-02-28T14:32:00.001-08:002010-02-28T14:36:47.303-08:00Day 27~ Childhood Memories FAIL

Let's see. I just love how she wants nothing more than to be as close to me as she can possibly get. If I'm sitting indian style or my legs are spread a bit she'll often cuddle up between my legs...but more often she just scooches over to lean on me. This is the only picture I took on Monday. I'm consistently running about a day behind on posting. This blog is becoming less and less about capturing a 'good' picture, and more about my daily life in general I think. I'm just not so concerned about getting a good picture so much anymore, atleast yesterday and today anyways. I don't have any real talent at taking pictures, and I don't have a great camera. There's only so much I can do with my little point and shoot and no photo editing software. And that's okay. As much as I may dream about being a professional photographer, it's just not in the cards for me. Anyhoo. My picture for today. So, our toilet that I mentioned like a week ago is still leaking. So we shoved another wax ring on top of the one we just put on there in the hopes of stopping the leak. We both had to get on the toilet to level it and seal the wax rings. I just happened to have my camera there to capture the moment with Danny sitting on the tank and me on the seat trying to push the toilet to the floor. As you can see, I thought it was hilarious. Ahhh...good times.
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-33005524567901790162010-02-21T16:14:00.000-08:002010-02-21T16:20:47.225-08:00Day 22

I had originally taken a picture of our dinner, but decided that that I've posted enough about food for a while. Who'd have thunk it? A Marsh in Murfeesboro. I had no idea it was even there. Danny and I took advantage of this most awesome weather we've been having and got our tails, as well as our dog's outside to enjoy it! He took me to this place in Murfreesboro, and I can't remember the name of the place...but it's a walkway and little nature tour of the local animals and plant life. It was pretty cool. The walkway goes all the way around the marsh. The ducks were out and about, and driving Tank crazy. Good thing he was on a leash or he would have been chasing those poor things all around that darn marsh as it was only a foot or so deep in most parts. A great day for sure. What made it even better was Danny took me out on a date Friday night, but I didn't get any pictures of that.
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-30804033265632407602010-02-18T19:49:00.001-08:002010-02-18T19:54:33.320-08:00Day 19~ I've got nothing

I'm sorry to say that a better picture other than my snack did not present itself today. It was still pretty cold outside (extra points to me for being outsided to begin with) and I just thought it was kind of neat that all the other ice had melted, except for these little ice cicles hanging on for dear life.
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8878655266454167608.post-74829376841412209712010-02-16T14:52:00.001-08:002010-02-16T14:58:41.981-08:00Day 17~ Cutie Pies

Look at my puppies today. It's cold and nasty outside and I had few to choose from. I also got in a little late last night and took my hiney straight to bed. So, today's (well, yesterday's really) picture is of the bird nest sitting in my front tree. I know it's empty for now. But I have to wonder..how the heck does it stay up there? With all the rain, wind, snow and hail this little nest is holding strong and refuses to fall. That's good engineering for birds. Strong little nest. You'll make a good home in the spring time.

Oh, and if you don't like this picture it was between this and the picture of my carpet shampooer. Yes. I shampooed carpets yesterday. Fun times.

One more thing. I broke my camera yesterday. Kind of. I dropped it and the battery is having a hard time staying in b/c the little battery holder inner clip broke off. It's still chugging for right now, but I fear this blog may be coming to a hault soon until I can get a new one. I'm so bummed. I love my little Nikon Coolpix. Hang in there camera, you can do it!
Laura's Project 365http://www.blogger.com/profile/15459355138644991627noreply@blogger.com0
