Well blog. We've had a good run. Probably longer than I would have expected. I'm like, 5 days behind and I didn't even get a picture yesterday. What this tells me? I've lost interest in you. I struggle every day to get a picture, and most days I hate the ones I post. So why do it? You're a hobby I find more annoying than enjoying, so lets just part ways here. Deal? Thanks blog, I knew you'd understand.
Love,
Laura

Day 38~ I'm that neighbor
Poor neighbor. Whatever happened to him, it required the a firetruck, an ambulance, 3 police cars, and two under covers. Holy moly. I hope he's okay. They took him out on a strecher. I keep telling myself I should get to know my neighbors, should something bad ever happen to me I'd want to know I'm surrounded by people who might notice that I'm no longer around...or that would get me help should they see something happen to me. I wish the neighbor next door annoying fence posts were not in the way, or the view would have been better. Oh well. On to spy another day.
Day 37~ Dad, you're funny
This picture is horrible. I picked it because it's hilarious. As I've mentioned more than once, my parents are selling their house. To get the new carpet in we had to prep the floors. We like to paint the subfloor with a special primer to block oders, because lets face it...like 10 pets over 18 years and you're bound to have a few accidents. So we had painted the floor and my dad was leaving to go get lunch. The problem? His money and keys were in the bedroom, at the end of the hallway. That room already has new carpet in it, and so he couldn't get paint on it. So he had to put these bags over his shoes, so he could step out of them and get into the room to get his keys and card. I stuck my camera around the corner and just snapped this picture as he was coming back. Ah, good times.
Day 36~ The Domestic Failure
Yep. That's me. My poor husband. I made what could be described as the worst meal ever. And he sat there and ate it like a champ. It was supposed to be orange chicken. Apparently the type of orange juice used is important. The stuff I used was on sale, and my dinner turned out like a crayon explosion with this horrible aftertaste that just burned your mouth with sourness. UGH. Anyhoo. There was nothing left to photograph because I cook for two, and we rarely have leftovers as neither of us care for them much. But here is the remains of the horrible sauce in the crockpot. It was also a busy day so this was the only picture I managed to take. Sorry for the poor quality.

Day 35~ Has Spring Sprung?
I think it has. And as evidence I present to you: berries on my bush outside. :) Spring time, I'm so glad to finally see you here. I can't tell you how happy I am to not freeze my tail off when I go outside. My morning walk with the dogs is certainly more enjoyable, and I find myself actually wanting to be outside even after the walk. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us this season. I hope good things.

Day 34~A road less traveled
I love walking in this campground. Mostly because it's closed right now, so I guess technically we're trespassing. But it's not like we're hurting anything. It's state property, not private... though I'm not sure that helps my case very much. Anyhoo. We take our dogs here to run around to get out some energy. It's so quite and peaceful. There isn't anyone around except us and the birds. Even though I'm excited to see Spring come, I'll be kind of bummed to really be kicked out of here. Only people reserved there can hang out once it opens. Bummer. Until next fall Poole Knobs.
Day 33~ Dog overboard!
We took Tank and Daisy to the lake on Friday. Daisy loves loves loves the water. Even if it's freezing outside, she runs right to the water and lays down. I just don't understand it. It was a nice day outside, I stuck my finger in the water to see how it felt... and I gotta tell ya, it was pretty darn cold. Crazy girl.
Day 32~ Tree, how old are you?
I found this old tree at a park near our house. I have to wonder how old this tree is. Just look at all it's branches, and how tangled they are together. I can't tell you how tall this tree was, but I'm 5'3", and look at how high it goes. Looking under it, it's branches seem to reach forever. I find beauty in this old tree, and can only wonder what it's seen in it's lifetime.

Day 31~ A Little Snackypoo
There. I'm current on my blog. Now I'll wait another 3 days to update like I usually do. Today was busier than what has become normal for me. My husband is sick, and I spent a good few hours at the hospital waiting for doctors today, and I worked in the church daycare tonight as well. But, I did make it to Petsmart because if I didn't my dogs would be eating my furniture because they're hungry. I usually bring them back a little something from Petsmart. Today I brought home what was sold to me as chew sticks that would provide hours of chewing pleasure for my dogs. Yea right. Daisy woofed hers down in less than 4 minutes. Hours my tail. I couldn't even get a non blurry picture of her because of the speed at which she was taking this thing down. Grrr. At least they were not very expensive. Oh, and it's not that I love Tank less than Daisy if you're wondering why most of my pictures are of her. He just does not photograph well at all-takes after me. haha
Day 30~ I Dream of Laundry Fairies
Did I even spell fairy in it's correct plural form? I think I did. ANYWAYS. Laundry day. I hate it. There's nothing I hate more than doing the laundry. I will clean the toilet, before I put away the laundry. You're lucky it's folded in this picture. You may ask what's the story behind this crappy picture for today...? There isn't one. I'm that lazy, that unmotivated, and kind of thinking about giving up this blog. It's pictures like these that are the reason I have two lonely followers. One of which is my mom. Hi mom. But it's all I have. Unless you want to see pictures of my dogs everyday. And guess what my next picture is since I'm days behind? Yep. My dogs. I'm sorry guys. I'm a blogging failure.
Day 29~ Skinny Me
Oh boy. This picture. This is a one and only. And few people have seen this picture. There is no digital copy, I guess until now. Long story short: this pic was taken in California with Danny. We were at the fair and just happened to come across this tent where you could get a picture with their snake (Huge python snake. Sucker was 8 ft long). Anyways, that's not what this post is about. This picture is on my fridge. It's my motivation to stay out of the fridge. That's skinny me. It doesn't always work, but it does to some extent. It sits next to my dove wrappers that have really cool quotes on them. Dark chocolate doves to be exact, I allow myself one piece a day. It's good for you, so they say. That's why excuse anyways. You know, I'd really like to get back to the girl in the picture. I don't know that I will. Something close hopefully. I've had to make some tough decisions as of late, and with the life changes I'll be making, hopefully it'll help me get back to this girl. Hopefully.

Day 28~ US vs Canada Hockey!
Day 27~ Cat Tails!
I remember these! Cat Tails we called them. I'm not sure if that's their actual name...but that's what we called them. I remember these from being a kid and we'd pick them and tear them apart. These were falling apart on their own by the time I saw them. I guess it's time for the tails to spread their seed to make new cat tails. But, when whole, they are a rich brown color, with a little tail sticking out of the top. Hence the name...cat tail. Anyways. Found them growing by our house.
Day 27~ Childhood Memories FAIL
Let's see. This was Friday. So sickly me was Thursday. Okay. We went to the park on Friday to walk the dogs, and Danny decided to relive some childhood memories by flying a kite. Or more like...trying to fly a kite. Poor kite. It was dead after like, two minutes. It never made it off the ground, and never had a chance. Apparently, it's not like riding a bike.
Day 26~ Sickly me
Day 25~ Stuff
Do you know what this is friends? Stuff. More specifically...my parent's stuff. They've moving you see. Not just moving though...getting rid of nearly everything. Selling the house, taking the pets and leaving. In their 5th wheel, which is posted down there somewhere. To travel. Yep. So. I get the stuff.
On another note. I'm a daily blog failure. I take pictures everyday...but somehow can't seem to manage to post it everyday. I'm sorry. So, now I have to post like the last 3 other days that I missed. Excuse me.

Day 24~ Daisy May!
Oh Daisy May. How I love you. She's so cute. We have a little routein the two of us. Every night, I'll go and sit on the floor with her and she comes to cuddle with her mama. That's me. ;) She'll do this whenever I sit on the floor with her really, but I make sure to do it atleast once every night. I just love how she wants nothing more than to be as close to me as she can possibly get. If I'm sitting indian style or my legs are spread a bit she'll often cuddle up between my legs...but more often she just scooches over to lean on me. I make a great pillow apparently.
Day 23~ Good Times
You know. This is the only picture I took on Monday. I'm consistently running about a day behind on posting. This blog is becoming less and less about capturing a 'good' picture, and more about my daily life in general I think. I'm just not so concerned about getting a good picture so much anymore, atleast yesterday and today anyways. I don't have any real talent at taking pictures, and I don't have a great camera. There's only so much I can do with my little point and shoot and no photo editing software. And that's okay. As much as I may dream about being a professional photographer, it's just not in the cards for me. Anyhoo. My picture for today. So, our toilet that I mentioned like a week ago is still leaking. So we shoved another wax ring on top of the one we just put on there in the hopes of stopping the leak. We both had to get on the toilet to level it and seal the wax rings. I just happened to have my camera there to capture the moment with Danny sitting on the tank and me on the seat trying to push the toilet to the floor. As you can see, I thought it was hilarious. Ahhh...good times.

Day 22
I had originally taken a picture of our dinner, but decided that that I've posted enough about food for a while. Unfortunately there are few things for me to post about. I don't go out a whole lot, I have no kids, and most things just seem to be to boring to post about. I took this picture tonight after dinner. I like it. That's about all there is to say about it though.
Day 21~ My Baby Boy!
I love this dog. I mean really. He's my baby boy. I captured this picture by happenstance (that's a word right?) he was facing the other way, and turned his head just as the camera snapped. It's perfect. It really captures his innocence. He is the most loveable, curious dog and my life is so enriched by having him.
Day 20~ A Marsh in Murfeesboro?
Huh. Who'd have thunk it? A Marsh in Murfeesboro. I had no idea it was even there. Danny and I took advantage of this most awesome weather we've been having and got our tails, as well as our dog's outside to enjoy it! He took me to this place in Murfreesboro, and I can't remember the name of the place...but it's a walkway and little nature tour of the local animals and plant life. It was pretty cool. The walkway goes all the way around the marsh. The ducks were out and about, and driving Tank crazy. Good thing he was on a leash or he would have been chasing those poor things all around that darn marsh as it was only a foot or so deep in most parts. A great day for sure. What made it even better was Danny took me out on a date Friday night, but I didn't get any pictures of that.

Day 19~ I've got nothing
I'm sorry to say that a better picture other than my snack did not present itself today. The rest were blurry, and just...blah. Don't get my wrong. My apple and peanut butter are blah...but atleast it's a clear picture.
This has become my favorite snack b/c I'm trying to quit eating junk food. I eat the apple so I can have the peanut butter. (insert embarrassed face here) I really don't care for apples that much, but it's pretty much the only fruit I'll eat right now. Oh well. An apple a day keeps the doctor away right? le sigh
Day 18~ Another day at the lake
I'm a day behind on my posting again, so hopefully I'll get another post in today to be up to date. Problem is...nothing has happened today! I've been stuck in the house doing laundry, and I doubt everyone wants to see a picture of my laundry pile.
We were walking by the lake Wednesday with the dogs and I took this picture and really liked it. There's nothing special about it I guess, it's just a neat picture. It was still pretty cold outside (extra points to me for being outsided to begin with) and I just thought it was kind of neat that all the other ice had melted, except for these little ice cicles hanging on for dear life.

Day 16~ Don't Fall Little Birdies!
I'm late posting yesterday's picture. It's cold and nasty outside and I had few to choose from. I also got in a little late last night and took my hiney straight to bed. So, today's (well, yesterday's really) picture is of the bird nest sitting in my front tree. I know it's empty for now. But I have to wonder..how the heck does it stay up there? With all the rain, wind, snow and hail this little nest is holding strong and refuses to fall. That's good engineering for birds. Strong little nest. You'll make a good home in the spring time.
Oh, and if you don't like this picture it was between this and the picture of my carpet shampooer. Yes. I shampooed carpets yesterday. Fun times.
One more thing. I broke my camera yesterday. Kind of. I dropped it and the battery is having a hard time staying in b/c the little battery holder inner clip broke off. It's still chugging for right now, but I fear this blog may be coming to a hault soon until I can get a new one. I'm so bummed. I love my little Nikon Coolpix. Hang in there camera, you can do it!

Day 15~ Happy Valentines Day
Day 14~ On the road again
Saturday we headed home from Indiana. This is a picture I snapped of us at a rest stop. That is my parent's new 5th wheel, and their truck. I think it's kind of funny how tiny that huge truck looks against the RV. But it pulls it like a champ. I had a great time on this trip with my parents. But I think this means they're actually planning on retireing and leaving Tennessee. Good for them. I hope they have a great time.
Day 13~ Shopping in Shipshewana, IN
Friday while we were waiting for some repairs to be made on the 5th wheel that we discovered on the walk through we had some time to kill. We went down the road for some shopping and lunch. We ended up at this little store called Neat Stuff. Neat stuff it was. A lot of it was handmade items by the local Amish. I picked up some jam here for Danny, he loves homemade jam. I figured it couldn't get much better than Amish jam. As it turns out, I'm correct. He said it was really good after trying it on his toast this morning.
Day 12~ Amish Country?
So Thursday I headed out of town to Indiana with my parents to go pick up their 5th wheel. I went on this trip for two reasons. 1) I'm bored. And 2) and the most important reason...to spend time with my mom and dad. We ended up having a great time, and who knew we'd end up in Amish country? I didn't, but I have to say it made the trip. Amish people are awesome. They are friendly, and great cooks. Here's my shot for Thursday, when we first got into Shipshewanna (I think I spelled this wrong) and figured out that part of Indiana is Amish Country. It's not a great picture, and I think everyone thought I was crazy for hanging out the window of the truck trying to get a shot of these poor people. But I think it's awesome. Though I'm pretty sure all the Amish were happy to see my leave the next day.

Day 11~ I'm hungry
Well. After a long day of shopping with my mom, I came home to dinner cooked by my husband. No, not this peanut butter sandwich. Tilipia and greenbeans. The fish tonight was well, fishy. So after a few bites I could take it no longer and just ate my greenbeans. After he left for his meeting I ransacked the pantry because I was starving. This is what I ended up with. Half a peanut butter sandwich because we're out of bread. Oh well. At least I had a big lunch.

Day 10~Daisy and her papa
Daisy loves her daddy. Just when I think I won't have a picture for the day, that nothing ever happens to me and that maybe this blog was/is a bad idea. Something happens and I have my picture. When Danny sees this post, he'll probably be upset. But here it is. Danny fell asleep on the floor playing with the dogs. After that happened, Daisy proceeded to bring him all of her toys to keep herself entertained while she stayed by him during his nap. So cute.
PS- Please excuse the laundry in the background. It's laundry day.
Monday, February 8, 2010
Day 9~ Err...Snow?
Hm. Who called for snow? Mr Weatherman has been saying rain for the last couple days, and low and behold...I look out the window and it's snowing again. I ran outside and snapped a picture and this is what I ended up with. But great. Unpredicted snow. The school boards will have a field day with this one. School will be cancelled for weeks for fear of rouge snow storms. These are big wet flakes that will surely turn into ice if it dips to freezing tonight. But it's really pretty while it lasts.
Sunday, February 7, 2010
Day 8~ Superbowl 44
Ahh the Superbowl. It's the Thanksgiving of junkfood, friends, and football. My picture for today is a picture of me, Danny, Ashley, Seth and Will in my living room. I'm counting this picture as my own b/c well...this is my blog, it was taken with my camera and on the timer. So there. Missing from this picture is Amanda, she had to work. We missed her.
We had a great time tonight as we cheered the Saints to victory over the Colts. It was really a great game, and a well deserved win. Definently good times, good food and great friends. A night to remember. I'm heading to bed now, in a chicken dip induced coma. Goodnight.

Day 7~ Good luck
Dear Four Leaf Clover, please bring us some good luck. Thanks. My mom gave us this Waterford Four Leaf Clover a year ago when we had come on a really bad run of back luck. Happens to most people. I guess it's our turn again. Between car issues, and plumbing issues with the bathroom and hot water heater I feel like we've had about as much as we can handle. So. Lacking a picture for today I decided to visit my lucky clover on the mantle and ask it for a favor or two...and then it can retire until I need him again next year. Hopefully it heard me. **fingers crossed**
Friday, February 5, 2010
Day 6~ My love of chocolate
Chocolate. Mmm. How I love chocolate. I'm not really a candy fan. But chocolate. Boy. I'll move mountains or chew my arm off for a good piece of chocolate.
Today's post comes with a complete lack of inspiration, and a lack of things going on at my house. It's the same old same old around here most days, so I think this blog will be a challenge for me. Coming up with new things to photograph that someone else might actually find interesting will be tough. Heck I'm not even sure I find this picture interesting. But, it's a picture. More important to being interesting to me though...is keeping up with this. I don't want to quit. Even though no one may be reading it. It's something I'm doing for me. And...I like chocolate.
Thursday, February 4, 2010
Day 5~ Toilet Wars
Toilets. How useful, how necessary they are. Well mine decided to not be so useful the other day. I noticed a small leak around the floor the other day. I don't know how to fix a toilet so I just quit using it until Danny could get around to it. Well, we (I mean he) got around to fixing it today and it was quite the task. The darn thing was stuck in the floor! Gah!! Anyhoo, I took this picture today of my second run to the store for parts. It's not interesting, or a good picture but sums up my day pretty good. Working on the toilet. le sigh. I need a job.
Wednesday, February 3, 2010
Day 4~ A trip to the lake
I took my camera along today when we took our dogs to a campground over by Percy Priest Lake. The campground is closed through the winter, but we always sneak in to walk around and let Tank and Daisy stretch their legs. I took several pictures that I liked, but for whatever reason this one sticks out to me.
My wonderful Aunt and Uncle will be staying at this campground this summer in their 5th wheel so babysit Tank and Daisy while Danny and I go with my parents to Europe for my baby brother's wedding. **sniff sniff** He's getting married already? Geez I'm old.
Tuesday, February 2, 2010
Day 3~ I'm Tired!
Meet Daisy May! I was originally going to use a picture I took earlier today of my arch nemesis. My eliptical trainer. We've been having issues lately, and are currently not getting along. I thought maybe posting a picture of it in my blog would motivate me to use it more. But then, Danny came home from his walk with the dogs and Miss Daisy instantly plopped down to take a nap as soon as she got through the door. I just couldn't resist taking a picture of my precious girl. I mean, isn't she cute? Yes, I think so too. ;)
Monday, February 1, 2010
Day 2~ The Meltdown Begins
So I set out today after staying inside for the last 3 days. I'm not big into snow or cold, but my dogs would probably have eaten me had I not taken them on their usually daily morning walk. I brought my camera along, and this is one of the pictures I took. I like how you can see the sun coming through the leaves, with the frost still around the edges.

Day 1 ~ Sunday Breakfast
French Toast. It's one of my husband's favorite breakfasts. It's not fancy, and a little messy, but full of yummy goodness.
I was in a hurry to choose today's picture and just went with the first one I took. I'm not picky, and didn't want to forget to take my very first picture. And as I previously claimed, I'm no photographer. So here is my picture in all it's poorly lit and poorly framed glory. :)
I'd like to thank Melissa. My first follower, and honestly- my inspiration for doing this blog. I keep up with her Project 365 blog and she is by far one of the most amazing photographers I've seen. She also has a very cute kid, which is the subject of most of her posts. So it's never boring to look at. Hopefully, I can find just a smidge of the motivation and skill she has, and turn this blog into something people enjoy reading as much as I enjoy reading hers. Hopefully. Thanks Mel.
Hi, I'm new here
Hi everyone. This my blog. I'm a little late to this bandwagon but hey, I'm here. I decided since I have nothing much to do lately, why not do project 365? Now, I don't pretend to be a photographer, or anything close. I'm just keeping my handy Nikon close, hoping to give you a glimpse into my increadibly boring life. Hopefully though, this blog will become a great hobby for me. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope I keep up with it. We'll see.
